Teachers have always played a vital role in the development of tomorrow’s youth. They are the ones who mould the young minds as they help in shaping up the future of the little ones. But most of us neglect such great beings that helped us to grow what we are now. In an effort to exhibit our gratitude to the wonderful women who have played a role in the development of our ‘Little Juniors’, ‘Shanti Juniors’ took an initiative to offer them an opportunity to display their teaching skills. This little initiative was called ‘Teaching Tact – 2012’ which was announced in November 2012, a contest on teaching aids for the teachers across all the centres of Shanti Juniors.
The teachers made teaching aids to support their lessons from the Curriculum Manual to make their lessons more interesting and easy to understand for children which was the defined participation into the ‘Teaching Tact – 2012’ – a contest of teaching aids for preschool teachers.
This was precisely an opportunity for the teachers to present their skills of teaching through their teaching aids and their photographs of implementing those teaching aids to develop child’s interest in the concept in classrooms. The photographs of the teachers using the teaching aids to deliver their lessons with children did tell us the story of their success.
Teaching Tact 2012 was a platform for the teachers where they could display their own creativity. The teachings aids were made out of materials like boxes, calendars, newspapers, bottles, old cdsetc promoting appropriate and best usage of the waste. The participation response received from the business partners and the teachers at the centres was tremendous.
The competitive spirit and efforts of the teachers who had displayed their creative abilities and made such wonderful teaching aids was appreciated even by the parents who had visited the Christmas Carnival 2012 as all the teaching aids made by the teachers were displayed at the company stall.
With so many good and unique teaching aids submitted, judgment was a herculean task for the panel of judges at Shanti Juniors Corporate Office. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners were announced separately for all the zones.
