Preschool
Preschool is an important step in the life of a child and thus the parents must carefully choose the preschool for their child. While choosing the preschool, the parents must be aware of the importance of a preschool, activities that a preschool is required to conduct and, therefore, the standing of the preschool; basis which one preschool could be compared with others. Preschool is also known as a playschool and thus both these names give good idea of what a preschool must do. A preschool, basically, is an educational provision for preparing the child for further education. Therefore, all activities, which prepare a child for the future, must be conducted by the preschool which include organizing of team events, making children play games, ideation of picnics, teaching discipline, teaching hygiene, learning basics at preschool and others.
A preschool is also known as a playschool because such preschool, in most cases, teaches all subjects of preschool and conducts all activities of preschool in a playful manner so that the children don’t get de-motivated and such children are, instead, keen to go to the preschool and learn. Over and above understanding the teaching methods at a preschool, the teachers and the staff also need to be tactful to manage the children, who might be resentful of leaving their parents and visiting the preschool. Moreover, such preschool teachers and staff must be patient with the children because losing patience with these children almost means losing trust and belief of these children, which might ingrain a whisker of dislike in the minds of the children; and thus, the process of developing these preschool children is defeated.
Talking about the infrastructure of the preschool, such preschool infrastructure must go with the image and requirement of the preschool- that of a playschool. The preschool infrastructure must be a combination of classrooms and play areas to combine learning and fun for the preschool children. The preschool infrastructure must at least have a classroom for the children, library, outdoor play area for the children to play, indoor play area during monsoons and winters, pantry to assure that the children are fed hygienic and healthy food, a washroom is a must with the children, a library might be an added advantage and a office for the parents of the children to visit and know the progress of their children. Therefore, running a preschool is a job of responsibility which must be carefully handled.
